Don R. "Randy" Scheidt, CCIM, MAI has been in real estate since August of 1972. He is president of Don R. Scheidt & Co., Inc., which has offices in Indianapolis, Columbus and Lafayette. The firm specialized in valuations, consulting, market studies, as well as other services throughout the Midwest. Commercial brokerage and property management services to date have been concentrated in central and south central Indiana.
Randy was president of the Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors in 2003 and received their REALTORĀ® of the Year Award in 1997. He currently represents the board as Regional Vice President for Region 14 (Indiana Commercial Board) to the Indiana Association of Realtors (IAR). He is currently serving on the Director's Council and the Finance Committee of the IAR.
Randy is also active in the CCIM Institute. Currently he is serving on the Strategic Planning Committee of the CCIM and the CCIM Education Foundation Board of Directors through 2010. He is also serving on the CCIMNet Advisory Board through 2007. He has completed the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy in 2004, being one of only twelve selected nationally to participate.
Randy is an instructor for the Appraisal Institute and has served on various committees for the Institute since the mid 1980's. He is also an Appraiser Qualification Board (AQB) certified USPAP instructor for the Appraisal Foundation. Randy also served on the Continuing Education Advisory Council to the Indiana Real Estate Commission from July1992 to January 1996.
Randy has also been appointed to the NAR (National Association of Realtors) Commercial Legislation and Regulatory Subcommittee and currently serves on the Board of Director's of NAR through 2007. He also serves as a Federal Political Coordinator for NAR. He received the Realtor of the Year award for the Columbus Indiana Board of Realtors in 1983. In 1996, Randy served as chairman of the Commercial and Industrial Marketing Group of MIBOR and also was President of the REALTORĀ® Foundation that same year.
Randy is a very active member in his community. He is a current member and past president of the Columbus Rotary Club and has served with the Heritage Fund Community Foundation in different capacities. He is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and has four children with his wife, Jill. |
